Kensel Clutter was severely wounded during a bombing run that ended with the B-24 bomber crash-landing on its return from the mission. His wounds sidelined him for eleven months. Doctors later removed a 1 3/4-inch long piece of shrapnel from his chest. This book was composed in 2019 about his experiences on that awful day when he was just 23 years old.
